A loss is one thing. But total annihilation is quite the other.  :'(

Nate Silver is apparently a moron now.

Sheesh. Statistics don't play the game, or vote.

Now THAT is what I am talking about....a thinking person's response rather than a soccer fan's response!!  This is great progress!!!

And of course the strawman was the one with the brain.....

Technically, they all had brains.   The scarecrow just didn't know it.   (Now sure how that fits with the narrative, but needed to clarify...)

Fits just fine... as well as anything else, anyway.

Oh well, there's always next year. I'm glad Germany won. They put on a good show.

It's either a brilliant troll post or the dumbest post of the month.

Hey, women's World Cup is next year!  I've already promised my daughter that we'd go to at least one game.

Oh Yeah!  And the Women are probably more popular than the men.  And its right next door in Canada, so expect it to be even bigger than the men's.  Excellent!

It was a great World Cup, and the numbers speak for themselves.

"Even without the home team involved, the World Cup final between Germany and Argentina set a television viewership record in the United States, capping a tournament that exceeded expectations for interest on both ESPN and Univision.

The month-long World Cup also was responsible for more than 3 billion interactions on Facebook and 672 million messages on Twitter, the social media companies said on Monday."

All you doubters better get on board.  Especially with baseball continuing to be the bore to watch that it has always been, soccer is poised to finally get some serious momentum in the US.

I’d have to agree.  I was really impressed to see reports of all the people turning out at the watch parties at OneOk Field.
