Title: Kellyville man arrested for terrorism
Post by: Ed W on January 06, 2012, 06:47:32 am
A Kellyville man was arrested on complaints of terrorism, malicious property destruction, tampering with a public utility, and sabotage for attempting to take down a power line that crosses his property.  William Codrey threatened to remove bolts from a tower supporting a power line across his property.  He was in possession of a wrench of the correct size for the bolts, and in fact, such bolts were found on his property.

In addition to his apparent antipathy toward power lines, Codrey seceded from the United States and the state of Oklahoma in 2008.  He issued a challenge to President Obama, offering to fight him in a duel with either guns or knives.

Under the recently enacted National Defense Authorization Act, Codrey could be placed into military custody and detained indefinitely (instead of three hot meals and a cot, along with some anti-psychotic meds.)

So, who's less in touch with reality,
him, or the people that think this is an appropriate use of the Patriot Act?

The act was no doubt not crafted for this kind of crime. Looks like they may be piling on some charges and waiting to see what is going to work best.

Crank County. That's good.

So they could just pull anything they want out of the air, child molesting, murder, bestiality etc., charge him with it and when it doesnt stick say "oh, well, he slipped by on a technicality"?

Being a responsible prosecutor should be more than just playing "wheel of fortune" with people's lives.

I can't speak for the prosecutor. He may have considered those charges as well. One has to believe that people with enough smarts to get the job of prosecutor have enough integrity to pull possible charges from the realm of reality. But then one would think the Patriot act wasn't one of them.

Maybe there is more to the story? Maybe he's not crazy, just a lousy anarchist?

Terrorism? Obviously someone has been taking their stupid pills recently.

Or, one of those things is not like the others.
