Title: Tulsa skyline/Stone Canyon lake
Post by: Ed W on December 30, 2011, 06:27:30 pm
I took this yesterday from Stone Canyon lake.  It's northeast of Tulsa.  I used a sun tracking chart to determine where the sunset would be.  As it turns out, the only time the sun is going to be near the downtown skyline from that location is around the winter solstice.  Sure, there's an app for that, but why bother when I can just refer to a piece of paper?

Always a great view of the city skyline from the Owasso area; I always noticed it on 169 coming back into town and always wanted to try photographing it.

There's a good view from the frontage road at 90th Street North, just east of US169, but it has some high tension lines in the way.  I'm learning how to deal with them using the clone stamp tool in Zoner.  PhotoShop and Gimp have a similar tool.
