Title: "May Bash" - Fundraiser to aid Burnett Family Post by: BixB on May 02, 2005, 10:50:59 am On Saturday, May 14, from 4:00-8:00pm, Christ's Community Church in Bixby will be hosting a street party to raise funds for the Burnett family. Bixby resident Chris Burnett recently passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from a heart attack at the age of 31. He is survived by his wife (a Bixby teacher's aide) and three small children.
The event will be held in the parking lot of the Town & Country Shopping Center, on the NE corner of 121st & Memorial. Freshly grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, as well as soft-drinks, will be for sale. All proceeds from food sales will be donated to the Burnetts. Food has been donated for the event by McDonald's; The Tulsa Drillers and their concessionaire, Levy Restuarants; and by Pepsi. Live music will be provided by David McGlohon and the CCC Band. Street Basketball and children's activities will also be available. Please stop by, perhaps on your way to or from the Bixby Blues Festival, purchase some food, and help out a neighbor in need! |
