Title: Guy Fieri at the Joint
Post by: joiei on May 30, 2011, 06:19:03 pm
Ticket prices at $250, $150 down to $35.  That must be one heck of a show for those kind of prices,

I love to watch Guy on DD&D and Guy's Big Bite, but I wouldn't pay for the chance to see him or wait in line to go see him.  Sure as hell wouldn't walk through a smoky casino to watch him cook.

You're in luck.  The Casino's non-smoking.

No kidding?  Is that a first?

Huh??  No smoking??  How are they gonna get enough stupid non-smokers to support a casino??

Serious?  You'd think Hard Rock would make "smoke free environment" part of their advertising.  We stopped in to have drinks a few years back when it was still branded as the Cherokee Casino and listen to a band I wanted to hear and I thought it was smoking back then.  No reason to think they would have changed it.  Interesting development.  They still won't get any gambling revenue out of me and I still won't pay to see Guy  ;)

I've gone to Riverspirit to hear Bradio a couple of times and just can't handle the smoke.  Their ventilation system leaves a lot to be desired.

For $250 you get to be on stage.

I can catch Guy for free on Food Network and I can even swig Marshall's Beer while doing so.  $250 for a possible photo op and autograph doesn't mean much to me.  If it included a test drive of his '67 Camaro, and a night of hard partying with him, it might be worth it.  ;)

When did any casino become smoke free?  Hard Rock was very smokey just before Christmas when I went in for about 3 minutes.
