The Shallows: What the Internet is Doing to Our Brains by Nicholas Carr

Is the Internet's wellspring of information making us smarter? Or is it diminishing our ability to read and think deeply, contemplatively and creatively? Through studies in neurological science, Nicholas Carr shows changes in the way the brain processes information.

Reviewer: Dr. Sally Kemp, Adjunct Professor of Health Psychology, University of Missouri at Columbia. She holds a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology with a sub-specialization in europsychology. Dr. Kemp retired from her Tulsa practice in 2006 after a 42-year career that integrated nursing, teaching, and neuropsychology.
