Sure. As a drummer? Average. As a showman/drummer? Superb. I'm just one of those drummers who could not understand the appeal for mega-over-the-top showman drummers. I can generally tell it's him on an album because of his crisp "whipcrack" snare drum, his exciting drum fills, and the fact he anchors a groove so well (which he says is paramount). Just think of Mellencamp's "Paper in Fire."
