Title: "Dexter" Gets its Due
Post by: guido911 on January 17, 2010, 09:03:08 pm
I hate award shows, bunch of morons patting each other on the back, but I read where Dexter has gotten two  golden globes: Michael C. Hall and John Lithgow (one of the best bad guys I have seen on TV)

Great freakin' show.  I could kick myself for dumping Showtime after season 2, but I have found other very good premium cable series on now (Big Love, Hung, etc) to take it's place.  Plus I have friends who just let me use their DVD or Blu-Rays to watch 'em.

Congrats to both.  Haven't got to see Lithgow yet, but always knew M C Hall was a great actor, even in his 'Six Feet Under' days.   I was unaware that he's married to his costar until this evening, who plays his sister.  After just looking that up, it appears they married late in 2008.  So I'm guessing it was a workplace romance.  Good for them, but I bet it's weird playing brother and sister when you're married!

Premium networks are still too pricy for most shows. To add one is like $15 a la carte with most providers or $180/yr. For that I can buy every series I want on DVD a few months later.

Dexter is a good show.  My girlfriend got me into it.  It is sad to hear Michael C. Hall has cancer but it he says it is "treatable and curable".

"Hung"?  Is that a western or something I'd expect to find at the Midtown Book Store where Grizzle shops?

Great freakin' show.
Indeed. I also dumped showtime (along with the rest of the premiums), but I'm patient enough that I can wait for the DVD or Blu-Ray release and Netflix them.

Note:  Do not shake Scott's hand if you run into him at Momma's.

Haha.

It is a show about a male escort though...

Yes, and I don't like walking that way. Been eyed by a few patrons before.
