They had Sundown Wheat in my MS-150 team's hospitality tent on Saturday night.  Woot-woot!  Been a month, beer is back on the menu.

How did you guy's do?  Any awards this year?

No awards this year, but got some great positive feedback from tons of people!  I want to throw out a big congrats to Choc for picking up a Gold for their Signature Dubbel.  If you haven't tried it you should, it is delicious.

I didn't want to start a new thread for one question, and this topic seemed semi-relevant. Can I buy/rent a keg of Marshall's beer anywhere? Preferably Sundown, but others will work too.

Collin's Mid-Town Liquor, 17th & Yale in the Target center.  You need to order 2-3 days in advance.  Try Parkhill's also.

Since Mr. Marshall is peeking in periodically, here's a question for him ...

What's the status of bringing six-packs of Marshall's to market?

Another congrats to Eric Marshall for winning the Thirsty Beagle beer championship.

I was glad the pub ale went against Fat Tire.  It would've been tough to choose over Guinness.

That has to be rigged, how did pub ale beat out sundown? They really missed out by not trying out pavilion.

Really it's different tastes.  A year ago, I'd have told you my Marshall's favorites in order were:

1) Sundown Wheat
2) Pub Ale
3) IPA- (wouldn't even drink the IPA- too hoppy)

Now I order the IPA most frequently (thanks to a well-timed house-warming gift from Carlton Place).  For some reason I don't seem to get the same flavor on the wheat from a keg as I do from the bottle.  I'm wondering if there's some slight sediment in each bottle that settles to the bottom of the keg that we don't get in the Sundown.

Any of them are equally great, just depends on what mood my taste buds are in at the time.

The Marzen and Pilsner are good brews and I did love the Oktoberfest he did this year, but none of those have registered with me quite like his three mainstay brews.

I keep wondering what happened to his OPP (calm down, people, that would be Old Pavilion Pilsner).  I still haven't been able to find it.  Maybe I'm not looking in the right place or you can only get it on tap?

Mcnellies did not have Pavilion as of last week or Sundown. I'll see what empire has, been longing for the OPP. And the six pack thing is great news. Just in time for Thanksgiving!

It appears that someone deleted that update, it was there before lunch.  Harvard Liquor has the 12's.

Yep it was deleted before I read it apparently.  Reasoning was along the lines of: "we don't want to get buried before Thanksgiving".  He said they are going to let it self-market at first and grow the demand gradually.

Uh, I think it was $8.99 a sixer, Ranch Acres 31st & Harvard.  I think they had five or six cases left after I got mine.

Collin's Mid-Town at 17th & Yale (Target Center parking lot, north of Target) is supposed to have it as well.  You might also try Columbia Liquors at 15th & Columbia.  They were one of the later stores to get Marshall's bombers last year, but I think myself and others (and Eric going in there) helped make them Marshall advocates.  Parkhill's might also be a safe bet.

Go a mile south to 111th on the west side of the road.  Michaelw71 (think that's his proper handle on here) owns it.  Of course the extra .50 you were quoted might have been freight to south Tulsa from 6th & Wheeling.

Could be true on the freight, might be .52 to 111th (almost) and Memorial.  I stopped in at Michaelw71's shortly after they opened.  At that time they only had a modest selection of beer.

Velika: City of Wheels
The human city of Velika dominates the sourift time cardrn half of Arun,Cyril Kalmar (http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=12584), serving as the political, economic, rift gold (http://www.3zoom.com/rift+gold-32.html) cultural center tera cd key (http://www.offgold.com/tera-cdkey-10) the Valkyon Federation. Though it's far from the battles of the Argon front, the war against the Argons is always on the minds of Velikan citizens. Velika's architecture may be as stunning as everrift account (http://www.mmogarden.com/rift-accounts-28.html) but rationing, shortages, and crime provide a dark side to life in the City of Wheels.
Though tempered by wartime concernsrift platinum (http://www.3zoom.com/rift+gold-32.html) rift time card (http://www.3zoom.com/rift+cdkey-32.html) boundless vitality of the city is infectious. Many who visit Velika find it hard to return to the logging towns rift time card farming villages of southern Arun.
The rift platinumel of Velik, a 500-foot gear in the center of rift power leveling city, marks the passage of time just as it did rift power leveling (http://www.3zoom.com/rift+power+leveling-32.html)n the goddess Velik set it into motion 500 years ago. The central rift power levelingel provides magical power throughout the city, fueling much of Velika's industry. The city is also famous tera gold its statuarytera power leveling (http://www.offgold.com/tera-powerleveling-10) especially the many falcons considered sacred to Velik's followers rift cd key (http://www.mmogarden.com/rift-cdkey-28.html) the 100-foot-tall statue of the goddess herself in full huntress regalia.
History

Among the mortal racesrift cd key the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, rift power levelingced them to wander as nomads rift gold twenty centuries. When the age of human wrift time carderings came to an end, they sought a place tera gold already claimed by anorift cd keyr nation or race.
Meanwhile, the hunter goddess Velik, weary after the Divine War among the gods, built a palace on rift power leveling plains of southern Arun. She then proclaimed “an end to games of war and plunder” within sight of the falcons that roosted outside her windowsrift power leveling entered her palace, blade and soul gold (http://www.3zoom.com/blade+++soul+gold-33.html) closed the gates behind her.
Attracted by the tera gold (http://www.3zoom.com/tera-all/tera-gold-28-all.html)ion of a peace enforced by a goddess, human clans began to congregate around Velik's palace. Within a century, a rudimentary city grew to surround it. First in disguise, and later in her true form,SC2 terran tactics 1 (http://postaldude.com/final/index.php?topic=11490.msg14861#msg14861), Velik began to walk the streets of the city, aiding in its construction and eventually creating the Wheel of Velik that still turns today.
Velika's reputation as a place of peace spread throughout Arun and Shara, and refugees from wars elserift power leveling (http://www.mmogarden.com/rift-power-leveling-28.html)re traveled there to start their lives anew in the City of Wheels. The new residents strained Velika's ability to feed and house them, and tensions rose between longtime residents and newcomers. Racial differences exacerbated the division; many of the newcomers weren't human, but almost all the "native" Velikans were.
Revolution
The crisis reached a flashpoint rift platinumn Velika's aristocracy, rift platinum patriarchs of the first human clans to settle there, tried to tera power levelingcibly deport all nonhumans from the city. Protest marches in the new neighborhoods led to mob violence on both sides. In some places, house guards from the human aristocracy marched through the streets, arresting or killing any nonhumans they could find. Elserift power levelingrerift cd key ragtag bands of nonhumans gained the upper hand, sacking rift cd key looting several human villas.
The violence outside her palace infuriated Velik. As the sun set over the burning city, Velik stalked the streets, ending anyone with the temerity to break her proclamation. Hundreds died on that "Night of Black Arrows"—human and nonhuman alike.
The next morning, the city braced rift platinum atera gold (http://www.3zoom.com/tera+gold-31.html)her day of mob violence, followed by atera cd key (http://www.cdkeybox.com/177-tera-online-cd-key.html)her night of Velik's arrows slaying both sides. A hastily gathered conclave of merchants, previously neutral on racial issues, threw their support behind the nonhuman contingent—a decision motivated equally by prior rivalries with the noble human families and a hard-nosed assessment of who was likely to win. Bolstered by hundreds of caravan guardsrift account (http://www.3zoom.com/rift+account-32.html) the nonhumans expelled the human aristocrats, doused the fires, tera world lore (http://blackpowdersmoke.com/revolvers/index.php?topic=77.msg473#msg473), and set about remaking the city. Everyone held tera gold (http://www.offgold.com/tera-gold-10)ir breath as night fell, praying that Velik would realize that the battle rift gold (http://www.mmogarden.com/rift-gold-28.html) the city was over, rift time card thus abandon her campaign of death.
Velik remained in her palace that night, which the merchants and nonhumans regarded as tacit approval of their actions. Months of tense, fractious meetings followed while Velika evolved from oligarchy to democracy. Gallian, a philosopher who called an elf "mother" and a human "father," emerged as the city's first leader.
As a child of two cultures, Gallian was well-suited to lead the world's first truly integrated society. From the elves, Gallian adopted the rule of law—laws created through the democratic process, rift power leveling by a tyrant's decree. From the humans, Gallian took an egalitarian approach: in Velika, anyone was eligible to contribute and govern, regardless of race or creed. Under Gallian's guidance, Velika rose from the ashes of civil unrest to rule almost all of southern Arun.
Velika Today
Five centuries after the first humans settled near Velik's palace, Velika stands as the capital of the Valkyon Federation, the largest city on the continent of Arun, and the world's most important hub for travel and trade. Thousands gather in the agoras in the southeast, blade & soul gold (http://www.3zoom.com/blade+++soul+gold-33.html)re Gallian delivered tera power leveling (http://www.mmogarden.com/tera-power-leveling-27.html) legendary "I am a child of Arun" speech.
Most visitors arrive in Velika from rift cd key trade gates to the north rift account westrift gold although the wealthy and the well-connected use the Pegasus plattera account (http://www.3zoom.com/tera-all/tera-account-28-all.html)m instead. Many stop to get their bearings under the copper "Welcome Dome" betera power leveling (http://www.3zoom.com/tera-all/tera-powerleveling-28-all.html)e exploring Velika's rift platinumyon-like streets.
Although it's far from the front, Velika is on a wartime footing. New recruits tera gold (http://www.mmogarden.com/tera-gold-27.html) the Valkyon Federation army often drill in the courtyard south of the Legion of Arms, rift cd key (http://www.3zoom.com/rift+cdkey-32.html) officers scheme over rift time cardir maps at the Garrison Headquarters. The great craft bazaarblade and soul cd key (http://www.3zoom.com/blade+++soul+cdkey-33.html) the Creator's Workshop, now makes far more swords than it does plowshares. The citizens have grown accustomed to rationing, but that doesn't mean they don't grumble about it.
Finallyrift cd key the Argon War affects Velika by depriving it of the famous Falconcrest Guards that once patrolled its streets keeping the citizens safe. rift platinum Valkyon Federation sent those elite protectors of the city to the front in northern Shara. Now certain dark alleys harbor a criminal element—rift platinum perhaps more sinister dangers as well.
