Winnercomm About:
http://www.winnercomm.com/2006/about_history.asp

When the purchased Skycam they moved the company TO TULSA from Philadelphia.

quote:
Tulsa-based Winnercomm now employs 200+ full-time professionals and 2,000 subcontractors, has earned 13 Emmy Awards, supplies over 1,500 hours of programming annually to ESPN and 13 other national television networks, operates sales offices in New York, Chicago, Nashville, Dallas and Tulsa, and has the fastest-growing interactive, marketing services and marketing consulting business in Oklahoma.

I hope the new owner invests IN TULSA instead of pirating a business from Tulsa.

Winnercom is a great company, the whole sale perplexes me a bit.

Think about the kind of expanded "outdoors" coverage Outdoors Network could do with Skycam.  Add in Winnercomm's sports marketing ability and they can really push the Outdoors Network in a more mainstream direction (and away from Bassmasters-esque programming).

I could see why this might make sense.  Add in a recession (which increases the need to consolidate) and it's easy to see why this would work.

It was initially incorporated in Alaska before moving the incorporation status to DE in the early 90's.

So it looks like winnercomm might actually be a bigger company.  As a publicly traded company Outdoor Network Holdingss may have a better borrowing position.  Or this is a backdoor way of "going public" for winndercom.   Outdoor Networks stock is up 10%.  $172mil market cap.

Here is Outdoor Networks press release:

No hint on their job forecast.

I dont see that as a real loss for Broken Arrow. Their parking lot is empty all the time. I'm not sure how many they employ but it cant be many.

Their president left the state last year. Guessing only skeleton crew were in BA.
