Title: Campaign money spent per vote
Post by: RecycleMichael on March 27, 2006, 06:36:11 PM
I heard the campaign donation and spending reports show that McCorkell spent just over 1.2 million dollars of his own money for under 8,000 votes or over $151 per vote.

Adding the primary and general election votes, I predict that Kathy Taylor will spend under $40 a vote and LaFortune well under $30 a vote. Chris Medlock was the most frugal of the top four candidates. He spent less than $10 a vote.

That is more inline with campaign spending these days...$151 per vote is unbelievable.

Many wealthy candidates lend their campaign about half their war chest. In McCorkell's case, it was more like 98% his own money.
