Is FOX deliberately misleading or are they just doing sloppy work? I can't think of any other explanations. Today, there's this graph that purports to show unemployment figures. When I went to school 8.6 was less than 8.9.
Granted, this was a screen grab and there's no way to verify that it hasn't been altered. But FOX graphics have misidentified politicians on numerous occasions.
Last time I checked, 8.6 was also less than 8.8.
Faux News Network doesnt make those sort of mistakes...

I am SO glad that ABC, NBC, and CBS never make any mistakes.
As shown, 8.6 is at the same level as 9.0. The audio that accompanied the chart said slight dip in November. I vote for sloppy rather than deliberate intention to mislead. But that's just me.
Fox news sure is trying to make Mitt Romney the nominee. They quickly proclaimed the winner of last night's debate and played his good sound bites at length on TV and radio today.

Apparently Ailes read the speculation that Fox News' continued attempts to push Gingrich and the rest were going to lead to a defeat next November. Were I as partisan as Fox, I'd probably also have thought twice when Obama polled ahead of any of the Republican contenders in
South Carolina. Media Matters has done some interesting work on this general subject, by the way. Several days before each of the successive Republican contenders has taken the lead in the opinion polls, they've gotten a massive push on Fox.
Fox News isn't real news, it's just a racist, sexist, hateful, right-wing propaganda machine.
Got nothing - just putting in a place keeper to get notice when new replies.
In case you missed it:
And yes, the best part was shown on our local (non-FOX-owned) FOX affiliate.

They sure do (this is a democrat-dominated thread after all and ol' @ssclown had to introduce racism into the discussion)....

Who said it was the hottest? IIRC, it's second, after the extreme outlier that was 1998. Oh, wait, this is the network that doesn't understand the difference between bullion and fiat money.

If they replace her with Nancy Grace, it would be a step up for both networks.
Fox News Claims Solar Won't Work in America Because It's Not Sunny Like Germanyhttp://www.slate.com/blogs/future_tense/2013/02/07/fox_news_expert_on_solar_energy_germany_gets_a_lot_more_sun_than_we_do_video.html (http://www.slate.com/blogs/future_tense/2013/02/07/fox_news_expert_on_solar_energy_germany_gets_a_lot_more_sun_than_we_do_video.html)
QuoteThanks to Fox News and its expert commentators, millions of Americans now understand the real, hidden reason why Germany's solar-energy industry is so much further along than ours. Turns out it has nothing to do with the fact that Germany's government has long supported the industry far more generously, with policies like feed-in tariffs that stimulate investment in green technologies. No, the real reason is much simpler, explained a trio of journalists on Fox & Friends: It's always sunny in Germany!
"The industry's future looks dim," intoned host Gretchen Carlson at the beginning of the segment, which was preserved for posterity by the liberal blog Media Matters for America. She and her co-host went on to ridicule Obama's "failed" solar subsidies, adding, "The United States simply hasn't figured out how to do solar cheaply and effectively. You look at the country of Germany, it's working out great for them." Near the end of the segment, it occurred to Carlson to ask her expert guest, Fox Business reporter Shibani Joshi, why it might be that Germany's solar-power sector is doing so much better. "What was Germany doing correct? Are they just a smaller country, and that made it more feasible?" Carlson asked.
Joshi's jaw-dropping response: "They're a smaller country, and they've got lots of sun. Right? They've got a lot more sun than we do." In case that wasn't clear enough for some viewers, Joshi went on: "The problem is it's a cloudy day and it's raining, you're not gonna have it." Sure, California might get sun now and then, Joshi conceded, "but here on the East Coast, it's just not going to work."
Gosh, why hasn't anyone thought of that before? Wouldn't you think that some scientist, somewhere, would have noticed that the East Coast is far less sunny than Central Europe and therefore incapable of producing solar power on the same scale?
You would—if it were true. As Media Matters' Max Greenberg notes, it isn't. Not even remotely. According to maps put out by the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory, virtually the entirety of the continental United States gets more sun than even the sunniest part of Germany. In fact, NREL senior scientist Sarah Kurtz said via email, "Germany's solar resource is akin to Alaska's," the U.S. state with by far the lowest annual average of direct solar energy.
