I don't see your point. You want the President of our country to resort to name-calling?

No, I want our president to speak the damned truth. Neither Christians, Jews, Hindus, nor any other faith OTHER THAN Muslims flew those planes into the WTC. As I wrote earlier, I do not recall any of the TERRORISTS yelling "Allahu Jehovah", like that major at Fort Hood (Oh, I forgot, he is part of the same "sorry band")

So that inherintly means all Muslims are terrorists? So therefor we should hunt down each and every member of Islam?

Oh that's exactly what I said. Fail. And by "we" hunt down, who are you referring to? Our brave soldiers or those wannabe bleacher troops.

that is what is sure seems like when you want the President to "speak the truth" with regards of him stating we are not at war with Islam, but with those extremists (even if he uses an odd term for them).
As far as the "we" part, I speak as in the sense of as a nation as a whole. This whole stick of anyone who did not serve in the military is lesser of a person because of it is getting really old. No, you did not say that, but it practically oozes from you any time the subject comes up. And not sure what you mean by the whole "wannabes" comment.

I'm glad you're not in charge of our foreign policy.

Me too. Blaming Bush is a full time job for which I have no time for.

Oh I don't know. You should have plenty of time to do that. I mean you have enough time to blame the whole of Islam for the 9/11 attacks.
If vast numbers of people hold all Christians accountable for the likes Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, then why is it "improper" to hold Muslims accountable for the nuts in their sundaes?
Discuss.

Scott I wasn't aware "all" of us did
And last time I checked these guys were at most guilty of being bigoted and stupid. So as a Christian scott how would you feel if someone blamed you on the Crusades?

Improper isn't the word for it. "Reasonable" might be closer. So: it isn't particularly reasonable to hold all Christians accountable for Fallwell and Robertson and Westboro and our newest addition down in Florida. It is likewise unreasonable to blame all 2 billion Muslims for the actions of 19 (or heck, of the couple of hundred that constitute Al Qaeda).
Also, the "x does it, so why can't we?" is 9 year old reasoning. The answer (and you're a parent, so you know this answer by heart, no doubt) is: well, we're not those people. We're better than those people. In this household, we act like adults and make smart, independent decisions. We don't act like moral idiots and race to the bottom of possible behavior. That goes for people who blame all Christians for an individual's actions, as well as all Muslims for an individual's action.

In my opinion there is much more to it that the Christian "nuts". For example, I owe my pro-life creds in large part to my Catholic/Christian faith. Similarly, there are those that decry homosexuality and gay marriage on religious grounds as well. Now, how many times have we heard that holding those beliefs are either intolerant or bigoted? Where is the outcry that those calling religious-based decision-making as intolerant and bigoted are the ones being bigoted against Catholics/Christians, or any other protestant faith that my hold those beliefs? Or am just a "nut" because I am pro-life?

Really, what was Obama's international apology tour all about during the first few months of his presidency?

The world community mostly hated the previous President. Did you forget that?
I also don't think that all he was doing was apologizing. He was repairing relations with our strategic partners around the world.

I always thought an apology was a means to repair relations. Anyway, your post seems consistent with my observations, that being "blame Bush"
Here's what a member of the "sorry band" currently looks like:

The religion of pieces on display.
You are nothing if not consistent, guido.
You start a conversation attacking the President, then bait everybody into commenting, then simplifying their argument against yours into a phrase that you saw on a bumper sticker.
I no longer blame the President of 20 months ago for big picture things like the unemployment rate or troops still in Iraq. But I do blame former President Bush for how the American government was perceived by other countries and their governments.
He ridiculed France for not committing soldiers to the Iraq war and punished them by enacting food tariffs on them. He angered most of Europe over plans for missile defense sites in their countries, ignored environmental treaties signed by all the other super-powers and of course, started unprovoked military action in the parts of the Middle East.
You don't remember how sorry even Americans were of President Bush?

Thanks Hoss. I have wondered if there could be an explanation of his behavior for some time.
