Hitting the film festival circuit, still no wide release date yet.
Just read that it will have a "limited" theatrical release next month

This was shot in Oklahoma, too, and made by a Tulsan:

TBN is one of the more interesting people in film right now. He's amazing as an actor and director.
I had no idea that Tulsa had our very own Soggy Bottom Boy.
He is a great actor and now I'm even more proud of his accomplishments.

It's amazing the talent Tulsa has produced...here are just a few:
Jeanne Tripplehorn (brilliant in
Big Love; yum)
Bill Hader (fairly new, but up and coming comedic actor...in several of the more popular films like
Knocked Up, Superbad, and he was also in
Tropic Thunder)
Tim Blake Nelson (of course)
Tony Randall
Blake Edwards (yes, that Blake Edwards, director of the many Pink Panther films in the 70s)...
Gailard Sartain (I actually got to speak with him at length during a soccer tournament at Skelly Stadium some years back that my brother was playing in. His daughter was playing in the same tournament and he was lugging around his video camera. Super nice guy. Didn't hurt my dad went to school with him).
And more...

He's also George Kaiser's nephew, Ruth Kaiser Nelson's son.

Yea, I know, I try to forget him, and like a bad penny he shows back up.

While it is about Oklahoma it was actually filmed in Shreveport, Louisiana.

I rented "Keys to Tulsa" years ago because of the cast and I thought it'd be cool to see Tulsa on a movie again...then the opening sequence was a main character driving toward "Tulsa" played by Ft. Worth.
Other movies filmed in Tulsa area:
The Frighteners
Rumble Fish
Phenomenon
The Outsiders
UHF (my HS friends are extras all over that POC)
Tex
Tulsa
I didn't know The Frighteners was filmed here. I really enjoyed that movie. I will have to see it again and see what scenes where filmed here.

Now that is funy since the filming in Tulsa was for "downtown Ft. Worth" scenes
Technically Busey is from Texas and we here in Tulsa latched on to his star around the Buddy Holly movie days. We were just proud a local TV funny guy had made it to the big time. Now after years of post non helmet accident antics. He is one we really do not jump to claim so much anymore. I like Gary, he is always good for a laugh with or laugh at type situation.
I went to School with this guy.http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0931898/
Looks like Tim Blake Nelson has another movie coming soon:
