Yesterday my parents were in town, and our family decided to eat at Peppers at 91st and Delaware.
There were 6 of us ,so they seated us at a table against the front ,half booth, half chair type table.
As I sat across from my mother,I observed several large hanging plants directly above the booth side of table, which are above whoever sits there.
The plant above my mothers head which I estimate weighed at least 50lbs,was hanging on a hook that was barely in the ceiling.I asked her to move over, and asked for the manager.15 mins later she came out and about crapped her pants at what she saw.
Had I been in a bad mood,I would have switch spots and made some cash!,But I am honest, and the thought didnt cross my mind.
Moral of story,be observant in any restaurant, dont trust what they think is safe!
Either that or even better yet, just dont eat at Peppers.

Their $.99 Margarita specials aren't bad for a gang from the office to socialize on the way home. Ask for the extra hot salsa for the chips. (The drinks aren't great but the price is right.)
Peppers, especially at 91st, is crap.
I agree,I ordered a grande Burrito, and asked for a side of GUACAMOLE,and waiter said I couldnt get it,yet it was on my nieces plate, also we had bad service and the food sucked.
The Peppers at 91st is pretty bad. I prefer the one at Utica. It's much much much more consistent and the service is good.
all Pepper's locations are crap.

Much like Ruby Tuesdays.
This nation has got to wean itself off of highway food.

agreed, though Peppers doesn't plop itself next to major highways like RT does. In fact, is Peppers even nationwide? I thought it was just local dreck.
I will be the odd voice here...
I happen to think Pepper's is a fine joint.
They have a semi-diverse menu which is good for when the group can't decide what they're in the mood for. Everyone in my party has always been happy with their order and the service.
Peppers is kind of like Chimi's in that both peaked some time around 1993. Peppers just isn't what it used to be, much less all that competitive with better Tex-mex and Mexican options in Tulsa.

Too bad it wasn't your M-I-L sitting there. Could have been a win, win.

I disagree. Peppers is more like a place that makes salad the way you would in your own kitchen if you were poor and in a very big hurry.
And their main courses are right out of the TV Dinner section of the local grocery store.
It amazes me that they are still open.
While I will give them credit for being a locally owned resteraunt for 20+ years, I agree that their hey day was in the 80's and early 90's. I was in Tulsa in '99 to take care of some things and took my wife there saying that is was good food, only to find it needed some taste to it. I actually apologized to her for it, I really felt bad.
