Tulsa-area LPGA event expanded to four rounds
Associated Press

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -- The SemGroup Championship will be extended from 54 to 72 holes, and the annual Tulsa-area LPGA event will be held in the spring for a second straight year, organizers announced Monday.

The tournament will be held May 1-4 at Cedar Ridge Country Club, the event's home for the past four years. Mi Hyun Kim beat Hall of Famer Juli Inkster in a playoff to win this year's event, which was moved from September to the first weekend in May to keep it from held being too close to the PGA Championship this August in Tulsa.

The event was first played at the Tulsa Country Club in 2001 and moved to Cedar Ridge in 2004. Annika Sorenstam has won the event three times in seven years.

The purse for next year's tournament will be increased to $1.8 million from $1.4 million.

That's great news.  Combined with the PGA last year, Tulsa is getting really well known as a "golf town."  Not too mention the shear injection of cash it will bring (for an extra day now too!).
