His prior experiance as a Ref was small time Basketball, High School Football and some Juco games. He trained at a Utah based Stars and Stripes Academy for Football Officials. Karl Ritchins runs the program and he is a former College Football Referee. He stated that there was no way Mr Easley was prepaired for that kind of NFL level of play. He only trained him at his Academy for three day's and then the NFL trained him for close to three months.
