A friend of mine was employed by a company based in Boston and his pay scale was the same as if he was living there. He was living La Vida Loca here in T-Town. We will never have the income success of "non-business-friendly" states. Also true that we have lower unemployment than many states. But, sadly, our actual poverty rate is HIGHER than the chart suggests. We are somewhere between number 10 and number 6 in "number of citizens living in poverty."
