In 1980, according to Engineering News-Record on Google Books, Avery Mays Construction of Dallas "was awarded a general contract for Halcyon twin towers condominiums, (182 units), and swimming pools, 7600 S. Lewis, Tulsa, by Halcyon Development Corp., Division of E. R. Albert, Jr. Interests, 6111 E. Skelly Dr., Tulsa 74135."

There is a small office building that was eventually built on part of that site circa 1994.

I have also heard of a third Tulsa condominium tower called Halcyon, one which was slated later in the '80s to be built on the block at 15th and Denver - the one still owned by the Armstrongs but presently used by QT.  It was reportedly 40 or more storeys and "neo-deco" in design.  Do you know anyone who has seen, or clipped from the periodicals, a rendering of Halcyon and could send it to us?

Thanks, everybody.

The project more than likely tanked when the oil industry started tanking in the early 80's. There were areas in Greenville TX just east of Dallas, that had dozens of apartment complexes that were under construction that were abandoned in 1982 and 1983. IIRC it was worse in Houston at that time.
