Title: Upholstery shop Post by: citizen72 on March 15, 2008, 03:55:13 pm Within the last few years there was a little "ma and pop" upholstery shop a little West of Hillcrest on the South side of Eleventh Street. Anyone know who they were? We went down there this morning to get some work done and they are not there now. Too bad as they were really good.
Secondly, we will probably be looking for a new shop that can do leather upholstery. Any help from anyone on a business that can be recommended that is reasonably priced? They did a fine job on an antique rocking chair of mine. Title: Upholstery shop Post by: citizen72 on March 15, 2008, 07:24:56 pm Thanks Waterboy. Very much appreciated.
Title: Upholstery shop Post by: dsjeffries on March 15, 2008, 09:45:41 pm There's also an upholstery shop on 3rd at Lewis, across from Ziegler's. I'm actually getting ready to get a quote from them for this great mid-century chair I got for $40 from Cheap Thrills.

Title: Upholstery shop Post by: Steve on March 16, 2008, 02:15:40 pm Midwest Upholstery at 2906 S. Yale has been in business since 1954. They do quality work and can handle all types of leather/fabrics. They may be comparatively pricey, but their work is first rate, and you will not be disappointed. I have known many customers of Midwest over the past 30 years, and they have all been very satisfied with the quality of their upholstery work.
