ODOT Deals With Bridge Repairs
06-06-2005 4:58 AM

(Oklahoma City, OK) -- The Oklahoma Department of Transportation Commission will deal with emergency bridge repairs during its monthly meeting today. The State Highway 9 Bridge over I-35 was damaged by a Southbound I-35 over-height vehicle which damaged the north beam. An emergency contract is being recommended to repair the bridge. Commissioners will also hire Cobb Engineering of Oklahoma City to conduct the underwater inspection from waterline to channel bottom of certain deep-water bridge substructures. Such inspections are required every five years.
