I am envisioning several thousand pallid teenagers sitting in dark rooms with desks covered in empty red-bull cans going through the visitor logs to their site trying to hit each IP from a dozen or more proxys just to find that open port that your sysadm overlooked. They may pee themselves when they talk to girls, but the do speak 1010011. You can always have some fun and leave an old box connected outside the firewall with all ports open, logging every ip address that tries to access it. Sometimes the cobblers children have no shoes and hacking a hacker can be a fun waste of an afternoon, especially when their intentions are destructive.

I've never gotten my SonicWall pounded from reading the WSJ. I'm sure that's probably could be considered code for something .

According to the New York Times report, one man was arrested for Obstructing Governmental Administration for chanting "Let Them Go" and others were arrested on the sidewalk. Police tried to corral the protesters and stop them from marching. You do not need a permit to march on the sidewalk and people were arrested on the sidewalk. Zucotti Park, which is private, all of a sudden changed their rules to ban camping gear and sleeping bags.
This would not have happened if it were Tea Partiers protesting.

'Anonymous' Wall Street Protesters Arrested Under Antique 'Anti-Mask' Law
I think you will find a similar state law in Oklahoma. They were passed to criminalize KKK gatherings around the first of last century when such gatherings were more public. There was no exception for Halloween masks, just selective enforcement.

Eventually, the cultural crises will be shown by MSM....
This movement counter balances the teabaggers.... the big difference is anonymous offers up non violence and will not tolerate hate.
