You do realize a new stadium for the Energy is about to be announced in downtown OKC?
The sports hucksters in OKC fighting over who controls the Tulsa Roughnecks name have been saying that crap for the last three years I can count... good luck with that.
I'm sure it'll go about as well as the tarp your AAA ballclub had to put over 4,000 seats at your ballpark in bricktown this season so it doesn't look quite so much like failure.
http://newsok.com/article/4748134Also, Rayo has averaged over 4K fans
About that, I got a couple of tweets today... let's see if I can translate for you:
"Se buscan fórmulas para "replegar velas" del Rayo OKC. Dijo Yáñez."Literal translation is: Formulas is looking to "retract candles" Ray OKC. Said Yanez.
Figurative translation is:
Yañez confirms that Rayo V. will look to "take the sails down" at Rayo OKC.Let's go to the second tweet:
"Presa confirma que se estudia qué hacer con la franquicia del Rayo en Oklahoma. Venderla a lo mejor, perdiendo el menor dinero posible."Literal translation is: He confirms that he is studying what to do with the franchise of Rayo in Oklahoma. Sell it to the best, losing less money as possible.
Figurative translation is:
RAYO OKC is gonna get sold sooner or later and your majority owner wants to get rid of you ASAP, losing as little money as possible. Here's the full story, which IMHO proves that huckster Brad Lund likely misled Rayo Vallecano about the requirements and costs of being in the NASL.
Especially since it only took them less than half a season to come to the conclusion that 2nd division soccer at Yukon High School was a bad idea.
http://www.empireofsoccer.com/relegated-rayo-vallecano-explore-possible-sale-of-okc-49246/and the Energy over 5.5K since being OKC.
Really?
http://www.kenn.com/the_blog/?page_id=43661st season in 2014: 3,784
2nd season in 2015: 4,635
Five home games into 2016: 5,481
So yeah, you go on a Tulsa site and lie like a dog.
BTW, OKC has never had a crowd of over 10,000 fans for soccer... ever.
Tulsa has 99 of the top 100 crowds in Oklahoma soccer history.
The Energy will soon (within 3-5 years) have a soccer specific stadium near the river at the old COOP site that will be MLS ready. The folks high level at the Energy I know, believe MLS will be in OKC within 7 years.
I guess that means for sure that OKC must get better tv ratings than Tulsa for MLS, US Soccer, and Premier League, thus justifying your MLS aspirations, eh?
Welp.... not here...
