Title: Vote for Best Buildings in Eastern Oklahoma
Post by: PonderInc on May 27, 2008, 11:28:19 pm
The AIA is asking everyone to vote for the "Best Buildings in Eastern Oklahoma."  The list includes dozens of Tulsa treasures, as well as the Price Tower, Marland Mansion, and other small town gems.  Great buildings new and old are listed.  Choose your top three.  You can also "write in" a building if it's not on the list.

But hurry up, the deadline is Friday, May 30!

Good list. But I went ahead and put in the BOK center as well.

I would think the the BOK tower or the Civic Centers towers would of been listed, they are the nicest looking towers and also the tallest buildings in Oklahoma, but they were left out. Some of those older buildings have alot of historical charm. Tulsa pride[^]

just to clarify

The AIA, Tulsa Foundation for Architecture and the Arts and Humanity Council are all working on the best buildings initiative.

The buildings on the survey that you see are the top 25 building listed in nominations compiled from AIA,TFA and AHCT members.

Buildings like the BOK Center and others were listed in the intial nominations but when all the nominations were tallied they fell below the top 25 cut off.

No kidding! That's one heck of a collection. It's really hard to choose just 3.

I had no idea some of these existed.  I'll have to go on a tour now.
