The Public Forum

Since 2001 the TulsaNow web site has served Tulsa as a source of reference and information. The most popular area is the electronic discussion board, or forums. What started as a handful of people exchanging their ideas for a revitalized downtown Tulsa has steadily grown. Today this online community is visited by more than 1,500 Internet surfers each day. Over 25,000 messages have been posted in the last five years on topics ranging from football to free puppies, and most everything in between.

TulsaNow's forum provides a public discussion space that is open to any and all. After completing a short registration (we only ask for your name and a valid e-mail address) you can post a message. Paid membership in TulsaNow is not necessary– in fact the vast majority of the nearly 1,000 forum users are not members and have never been to a TulsaNow meeting. It's a little clichéd, but the views expressed on the TulsaNow Forum really are those of the writer and do not necessarily reflect the views of this organization.

Do we use the forum as a bully pulpit to broadcast our organization's ideas and publicize events that support them? Definitely yes.

Do we quash opinions that run counter to our mission and purpose? Not if they are well reasoned and civil.

You can never please all the people all the time. But I hope the TulsaNow Forum becomes an even more vital part of our community. Our efforts are focused on continuing to improve and expand this important area of our web site. With that in mind we have created a short survey and we invite all visitors to TulsaNow.org to participate. You don't have to be a forum user or a regular visitor. If you have an interest in Tulsa then we would like your opinion.

The survey only takes a few minutes, to start now click TulsaNow Forum Survey
