Mayoral Candidate Forum
Tulsa Now and the Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa announce
a Mayoral Forum…
The Heart and Art of Tulsa
Tulsa Now and the Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa presented a Mayoral Forum on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 in the OSU-Tulsa Auditorium at 700 North Greenwood Avenue.
Attendees had the opportunity to learn and ask questions about the candidates’ positions on areas of interest including development of Downtown Tulsa, the Arkansas River, and the role of arts and culture in Tulsa’s economic development. A particular focus was on Downtown Tulsa in terms of highlighting the urgency of confronting the new realities of the 21st Century with decisive strategies, including major strategic investment in Downtown, and in the human capital, via the arts, that will attract and retain talent of all ages to our community.
Rich Fisher, host of Studio Tulsa on radio station KWGS-89.5 FM moderated the forum.
