New Ways to Keep in Touch

We have just implemented a technology called Really Simple Syndication, or RSS.
You may not know what RSS is, but chances are you're using it. One of the most common applications is delivery of headlines or stock market content. Users of the popular My Yahoo site have probably seen news articles that automatically update. That's RSS at work. Think of it like a newspaper- you can go to the corner store and buy one (before RSS) or you can have it delivered to your home (after RSS).

For more information on RSS and subscribing to our home page updates see What's RSS?.

Our latest web site updates and forum posts can be delivered too. The best part is you can browse the headlines whenever you like, without cluttering your inbox with e-mails or waiting for web sites to load. To subscribe to updates on the TulsaNow Forum use one of the links listed here.

Firefox users can easily take advantage of RSS by clicking this orange Live Bookmark icon. This handy tool lists the latest additions to the forums right on your Bookmarks. Drill down to a specific category or topic and set the Live Bookmark if you only want certain items. Any page that displays the little orange icon can be added to your Live Bookmarks list.

Set the Live Bookmark on the forum entry page and you'll see all new posts. This is just one of the many reasons we recommend the free Mozilla Firefox web browser.
